Weight Loss Doctors is a South African medical practice that manages weight the way other chronic conditions are managed: proper assessment, a personalised plan, and follow-up that continues.
What we believe
Obesity is medical
A chronic condition with biology behind it: hunger hormones, metabolic adaptation, genetics. We manage it with a doctor-led plan, regular consultations, and support that continues past the first month.
How we work
A doctor in every decision
Software runs our logistics; it never makes a clinical call. Every assessment, every plan and every change to your plan is reviewed by registered South African doctors, and your coach works with a doctor behind them.

Who looks after you
Dr Akshar Sewrathan, HPCSA registration MP0858340, medical practitioner, consults for Weight Loss Doctors and practises in person at RaiMed Centre, 590 Dr Chota Motala Road, Pietermaritzburg. Every doctor who consults on the programme is an HPCSA-registered medical practitioner, and you can check any registration on the HPCSA register.
